BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

Have your supervisory skills formally recognised with this certificate. The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management can lead to a career as a manager or team leader in a wide range of industries. This course is especially designed for those who are moving into supervisory positions and want to perform well, and also for those who have developed supervisory skills on the job and want formal recognition of these skills.

The qualification is designed for frontline, or first-line, managers wanting to develop and expand on their leadership and people management skills.

Whilst also studying how to ensure a safe workplace for staff, participants will learn how to inspire their team to work effectively and efficiently, how to drive effective workplace relationships, manage personal work priorities and develop a workplace learning environment, as well as gaining valuable skills in facilitating continuous improvement and leading change within the workplace.

Duration is generally 24 months (or earlier if deemed competent)

Qualification Rules This qualification requires the successful completion of 12 units of competency. Participants must undertake each of the 4 compulsory ‘core’ plus, 8 elective units, of which:

  • 4 units must be from Group A listed below.
  • Up to 4 units may be additional units selected from Group A or group B listed below.
  • If not listed below, 1 unit may be from any currently endorsed Training Package at Certificate IV level or above, OR any accredited course at Certificate IV level or above that we have on scope.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry supported vocational outcome.

How the process works

Our on the job training model works most effectively when a workplace supervisor guides and instructs the participant through work related training and learning. A representative from the Training & Business Company will visit and discuss with you and your supervisor the most appropriate methods of delivery and complete a structured training plan.

Once a training plan has been completed you will receive your resources. Work will then begin on self-paced learning activities in the agreed order. Once both you and your supervisor feel ready, an assessor from the Training & Business Company will arrange a time to visit the workplace to conduct an assessment.

Training on the job will involve a combination of different methods and activities suited to the goals of the business and needs of the participant.

The flexibility in how we deliver the qualification is central to your success. You choose what, how, when and with where, and we facilitate you achieving your goal.

Cost:

$4,600 Full price if not eligible for state funding.

$1,000 If eligible for state funding. Please contact your local Australian Apprenticeship Network Provider to determine eligibility.
