The aim of the course is to provide the learner with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to plan, deliver and evaluate training in authentic situations on a one to one or small group basis.
The course is open to sport coaches, development officers, officials, and outdoor recreation instructors with a supervisory responsibility, or anyone interested in learning basic training skills.
At the completion of this program, the presenter / facilitator will be able to:
- Facilitate learning by using a range of learning tools
- Plan and review training to take into account participant needs & learning aids
- Identify the role of a presenter /facilitator in competency based training for the NCAS/NOAS

- Identifying training needs
- Planning, preparing and documenting training
- Arranging training locations and resources
- How to promote training
- Instructing and support for trainees in training
- Providing opportunities for practice & feedback
- Confirming standard of training outcomes
- Evaluating and recording training
- Providing training information
Participants who complete the training program will be issued with an
Australian Sports Commission Presenter/Facilitator Certificate
